Translate this!

I was asked to translate an e-mail, about two paragraphs long and not particularly complex. In the heels of that, I was asked to translate a five-page documento on regulations on agriculture.

Such is life for an in-house translator.

Next week, I start work at the New Organization (which, in order to preserve its anonimity and my employement status, will not be identified by name in this blog any time soon. So don’t ask.). My official job duties will require me to be bilingual and to do a lot of phone talking. And next month I find out if I passed the test.
